This one sets up very nicely with string action of 5/64" on the low E at the 12th fret and 4/64" on the high E. These Grecos have excellent necks and truly reflect the quality of Japanese workmanship. Volume&Control Knob has been replaced by a Fender USA Knob.

Greco Gibson replicas started using serial numbers around 1975 and pre 1975 models had a Greco logo that looked like 'Gneco'. A bone nut, steel block vintage-style tremolo and a rosewood fingerboard deliver all the feel of a certain brand that is priced much higher. Greco guitars have been made by Matsumoku, Fuji-Gen Gakki, Dyna Gakki and others as well. This instrument is light on the shoulder but big on tone. Greco is moving in a different direction with original designs, so the chance to own a Made-in-Japan Stratocaster clone is coming to an end.

The only Strat I own is my Tyler Variax 69SSS and I bought that for the guitar modeling aspect, not so much the strat'esque aspects.Īlthough it's a pretty good strat (beware it has a baseball bat neck). I have tons of Les Pauls, Gretsches and various other guitars like Reverend, Danelectro, etc.
